Symmetry is a strong signal in face analysis because balanced left-right structure often reads as cleaner and more stable on camera. But attractiveness is not a single-metric outcome, so symmetry should be interpreted together with proportions, expression, and image quality.
Small head roll, lens distortion, uneven lighting, or partial face occlusion can shift symmetry readings. A neutral, front-facing frame with level posture gives the most stable baseline for comparison.
Run several tests under similar setup, then track the trend instead of one isolated score. If your symmetry score stays stable while total attractiveness changes, the difference is usually coming from expression or angle rather than core structure.
